Every other year my husband and I head back to his home state of Iowa for Thanksgiving. A few days before we were to leave, a good childhood friend of his called him up and asked if I was interested in taking some family photos while I was in town. I hadn’t planned on bringing my camera, but I figured I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to add to my portfolio. We shot the photos on a cold, miserable, rainy Thanksgiving morning. Even with the weather working against us, I was still able to capture some great images!
