Rachel is another great person I’ve known for a long time through my husband’s rugby team. She is thoughtful, caring, kind, and has a huge heart. She, her son Andrew, her man Miguel, and his son Michael all met me in Thornton to get some family photos for the holiday season. Can you believe the breathtaking view? I’ve lived in Colorado my whole life but never really appreciated the Rockies, because I lived at the base (we were so close to the mountains that we couldn’t see them!). I loved that they coordinated their outfits with flannel shirts, cuffed jeans, and canvas shoes. They looked so awesome! I think my favorite shot is one that I didn’t intend to shoot or use. As I was managing the camera to shoot into the sun, I captured the awesome black and white image of everyone looking down or away, except for Michael–who is looking me dead on. I don’t know what it is about this photo, but it’s captivating.
